Mississippi Tea Party’s Janis Lane Says Women Should Not Vote

Janis Lane is probably going for the Biggest Dummy of the Year Award. I think someone needs to invent this award for the sake of validating her beliefs that should be considered asinine at best.

In recent history, Janis Lane noted something that should make any woman (or man, for that matter) cringe and shake their heads in disbelief (mind you, this was said a couple of years back):

I’m really going to set you back here. Probably the biggest turn we ever made was when the women got theright to vote. Our country might have been better off if it was still just men voting. There is nothing worse than a bunch of mean, hateful women. They are diabolical in how than can skewer a person. I do not see that in men. The whole time I worked, I’d much rather have a male boss than a female boss. Double-minded, you never can trust them.

Because women have the right to vote, I am active, because I want to make sure there is some sanity for women in the political world. It is up to the Christian rednecks and patriots to stand up for our country. Everyone has the right to vote now that’s 18 or over (who is) a legal citizen, and every person that’s 18 and over and a legal citizen should be active in local politics so they can make a change locally, make a change on the state level and make a change in Washington, D.C.

Yes, and neither should “niggers” vote either.

Yes, Janis Lane said this. If anyone has any trouble believing this, they can see it in full glory here and here.

Why Janis Lane is Troubling

Do we have any idea as to how foolish this belief is? Honestly?

For one, she is making the art of being politically diabolical and underhanded a sexuality problem. Newsflash: it is not. I have seen some mean and foolhardy things either being said or done by male politicians. If this were the case, then there would be very little president bashing by many other politicians. Nor would there be so many issues with getting laws passed and bills supported.

Another problem is that her belief would make women second class citizens. To be honest, women are still working hard to not be considered second class citizens in the first place. Now you have people that would rather rewind history? Bad enough her position in politics would not exist if we took away that voting power. Even further, this ideology says that women do not deserve to be treated equally.

Ever, ever. Ever, ever.

And we wonder why feminists are so high strung nowadays. You have people that would take us back centuries and eradicate the ratification of the 19th Amendment.

Then again, she does put her values and trust in the Christian rednecks and patriots of the country. So, her stance does not surprise me.

What Janis Lane’s Position Says to Us

Janis Lane should be an example of why people should not always follow others. All these Tea Party groups andLiberal political haters can say some intellectually questionable things. When a person goes as far as showing their desire for an entire group of people to be disenfranchised, then you know something is wrong with that person. At some point, it may even be okay to question their sanity. In summary, people like Janis Lane need to be ignored because they are good for saying crazy shit.
