Sad Day For Racism: Pat Buchanan Fired by MSNBC, Blames Van Jones, Gays, & Black People

Jan 11, 2012 11 Comments by

You know, just the other day while watching MSNBC I asked myself, ” Self, where the hell is Pat Buchanan?” Surely this being another major election cycle I expected to see Buchanan as I do the usual suspects. I mean, what would be political coverage be without Buchanan frothing and foaming at the mouth as his head does a three sixty while saying something demeaning about minorities, right?

You know, just what I’ve become used to over the years from America’s favorite paleoconservative and angry white man? But now I’m hearing that Pat Buchanan has been fired indefinitely, and I’m kinda sad. Sounds ridiculous I know. But see, I’m twisted like that; in my mind I just knew I was gonna see him have a heart attack or stroke on air. I figured this was going to be the year especially when president Obama kicks the GOP’s collective asses in November. But it doesn’t look like that’s gonna happen. And according to Pat, we have “certain people” who are known to occupy the left side of the political spectrum to blame.

No Seriously, I Love Minorities....

Conservative commentator Pat Buchanan attacked gay rights and civil rights organizations for pressuring MSNBC network president Phil Griffin to fire himafter the release of his latest book, Suicide of a Superpower. The work, which has been roundly condemned, includes chapters titled “The End of White America” and “The Death of Christian America.” “Look, for a long period of time the hard left, militant gay rights groups, militant — they call themselves civil rights groups, but I’m not sure they’re concerned about civil rights — people of color, Van Jones, these folks and others have been out to get Pat Buchanan off T.V., deny him speeches, get his column canceled,” Buchanan said during a radio interview with Sean Hannity on Wednesday. “This has been done for years and years and years and it’s the usual suspects doing the same thing again. But my view is, you write what you believe to be the truth.” Buchanan said he has not received a “formal notification” of his termination from the network, although executives have hinted that he will not return to the airwaves.

I don’t know about you, or how you felt about Pat Buchanan’s rants on MSNBC. Bout I’m gonna go on record and say that it never bothered me. You see, for me, Pat was a reminder that old racist white men (and women) were still alive. And as long as they were, anyone in the interest of racial justice and equality would always have work to do. Sure he might be gone, but his mindset is alive and well, and will always occupy space in the media. I’m really going to miss Pat Buchanan, and I mean that with all of my heart. Now they take my baby Donna Brazile off my TV and we gon’ be fighting; and I mean that shit. What’s funny is them firing him for writing a book which expresses much of the same shit he was allowed to say on air. Oh well, maybe I’ll have to start watching Fox.

Pat’s going to be sorely missed; nobody could lynch the souls of dead slaves like he could.

I wish I could take some credit for getting that old racist piece of garbage off of the air. But I heard on Tom Joyner he did it too himself with his usual white power crap in his latest book.

That Twitter movement after his “Your Boy” comment probably helped quite a bit. I didn’t support it because I need some Pat Buchanan in my life. LOL!

This is not going to stop him from spreading his ideas.  He’s now free to move about the nation and sow wherever he goes.

Yep, Pat Buchanan has been around a long time – he’s not gonna stop until he’s dead.

Yeah, Buchanan was simply a rather stubborn old guy stuck in the racist past, and as such, a great diversion and in my opinion, excellent replacement for Glenn Beck. The real problems, are the think tanks holding conferences about the “state of White America” and brainwashing the public with narratives of persecution.

C’mon bruh, you can’t tell me his Doomsday bunker segments and chalkboard lectures weren’t some of the best rightwing lunacy on television!

I wish I could say, Pat Who? Of course he blamed other people for his dismissal. The man has always been a racist. I remember hearing him on as a radio guest on the Austin Rhodes show in Augusta, Ga., in the 90s and he suggested that white people should boycott black businesses, showing that he has no clue about black business owners, power differentials in race, and how a boycott works. He goes for the tit-for-tat racial attack like a typical klansman.

Considering Pat Buchanan once ran for president, the current GOP field doesn’t look too bad. LOL

Trust me he’ll land on his feet again.  Before you know it he’ll be on television yelling nigger again……….just like old times.
