His primary focus seemed to be outrage that a black person could actually own something. I’ve heard the same thing couched differently from more “liberal” whites like Mitch Albom.

I also prefer my racism to be overt. I’m calling a spade a spade on this one. White people like Mushnik, love trying to scapegoat hip-hop, to be able to say Nigger or some variation of the word. When Jackie Magazine printed that poorly written article describing Rihanna as the “Ultimate Nigga Bitch”  one of the first lines of defense was “We printed it, cuz that’s what the American Blacks and rappers say in Hip Hop”.

It’s like folks have one of those, “I just need to be able to say it JUUUST this once, to get it off my chest”, burning type desires when they’re particularly agitated about some infraction they believe we’ve committed.  Then there’s always the subsequent rationalization for referencing the word Nigger or Nigga: “I can’t possibly be a racist since Jay-Z says it in his songs!! I was just trying to be ironic!” Intellectual/Hipster/Covert Racism FAIL.
