So have you seen these?:

In the first one, Swann states that the original expose by James Kirchick in The New Republic was published in 1997. That was a bad mistake since Kirchick was 14 in 1997. That mistake is corrected in the second report, as you can see. It was originally published in 2007 when Kirchick was 24.

It seems Mr. Kirchick at The New Republic may have some information he might not want to relate–perhaps because he’s been leaving it out of all of his rants against Paul that he’s made over the past few years because they are inconvenient truths? Or maybe not. I’d hate to think that any young Yaley at The New Republic would have such a strong bias that he might conveniently forget something or other. Maybe you should try contacting him for an answer to Swann’s question.

But, as you can see in the second report, there’s a great candidate for the actual writer of the racist newsletters in someone named James Powell. You might want to try to find Mr. Powell and see if he will confess up. That is, if he’s still alive or cognizant. Think of it, you could be the one to bring forth the truth about that dirty racist, Mr. Paul!

It should be repeated that @RonPaul’s newsletters were anti-gay as well.

If Paul did not believe in the racist and bigoted tracts that Powell wrote, then he should have fired Powell when Paul discovered them in his newsletter and issued a retraction and condemnation shortly thereafter.  Similarly, the Ron Paul newsletters were also as homophobic as they were racist.

Paul himself has been mealy mouthed about it all.  First, he claimed that the bigoted things in his newsletter were “taken out of context.”  Then, it became “only 8 or 10 sentences were actually offensive.”  Now, it’s become “someone else did it,” and the typical “A Black Person Said Paul Isn’t Racist” defense – as if a Racial Celebrity Endorsement will make it all go away.

Even if Paul never wrote a single bigoted sentence in The Ron Paul Report OR The Ron Paul Newsletters, the fact that he allowed Powell (and anyone else) to do so AND publish it under his masthead, on his watch, in his (Paul’s) name…and then failing to punish those responsible for making Paul look like racist and a homophobic bigot – if Paul doesn’t believe in being racist or homophobic, that is – tells me that he would be unfit to manage a burger joint, much less carry out the duties of POTUS.
