Instead, Jared Fogle made millions – he has an estimated net worth of $15 million -convincing America to get skinny by eating Subway sandwiches. By all accounts, Jared Fogle was pretty harmless. Yes, it’s not like he was ever famous for peddling pudding pops to children. He was what we would consider to be a rather safe, and very nice guy. I mean, all he did was walk and eat at Subway, when not running a foundation for children. Weird how that works, huh?

Well, according to a new report at Business Insider, that’s not all he ever did. According to the report, not only did Jared Fogle – a married man – have a sexual relationship with a female Subway franchisee. Jared Fogle, according to an affidavit obtained as evidence by the FBI, once had sex with a 16-year-old he met on Craigslist. And of course, being the nice guy that he is, Jared Fogle paid her $100 for her time. Jared Fogle? The Subway guy? A freak who has a thing for young girls?

“When can we find a time for me to talk to your cousin?” Fogle asks in a message dated May 1, 2008.

 

“Any more news with your cousin?” he asks the following day. “Tell me what u think about when u think of the three of us all together???”

 

Earlier, in April, according to the affidavit, Fogle asked the woman, “How young would you like?… Would you want to have an adventure like that?”

 

On June 19, the lawyer says that Fogle again asked the woman to advertise herself on Craigslist. She responds: “Is this the same website you found that 16 year old girl you that you f*****? …I still can’t believe you only paid $100 for her.”

It’s important to note that Jared Fogle has yet to be charged in connection to child pornography. Yes, his home was raided a few weeks ago b the FBI; and yes, he has since been kicked to the curb by Subway. And though the legal age of consent in Indiana where he lives is 16, there’s something disturbing about Jared Fogle – a grown ass man – trolling Craigslist, in hopes of “buying some pussy” from teenage girls. But of course, what Jared Fogle is alleged to have done is nothing like peeing on a 14-year-old girl while having sex. Oh no, Jared Fogle isn’t alleged to have done anything as morally corrupt as that. So, I guess I can understand why we’re not talking about it, even though it has been reported that Jared Fogle trolls public schools and happens to think: “Middle School girls are hot!” Yes, no word on whether he has prescriptions for quaaludes.

Jared Fogle has yet to appear in court on any charges on alleged wrongdoing.. However, you’d think that Jared Fogle and the allegations and concerns would be the source of chatter in the court of public opinion. But hey, when you’re white you’re right; and the force field that is White Privilege exists as a tool of convenience to many.

Had Jared Fogle been a black man – and yes, this is just a stretch because chances are he would’ve never been a pitchman for Subway because he has never played in the NFL – there’d be many salacious headlines, and discussions throughout social media about him being a child rapist, yes?

And this new example of said madness is making things look even worse. Just recently, Dr.Umar Johnson has been caught up in some text-to-text madness that cost him a lot of donation money. Here’s the scoop:

Dr. Umar Johnson just got caught up in a stripper scandal that cost him a whole lot of money. The scandal has costed Umar a million dollar donation from an NFL player.

About a week ago, Kymm Ringgold, the self-proclaimed ‘Conscious Stripper’ posted intimate text messages between her and Dr. Umar Johnson on her Instagram, revealing that they are dating and having sexual relations. [1]

Okay, so now I am confused. For one, why would Dr. Umar Johnson mess around with a stripper that also professes to be “conscious”? You know that would become trouble as soon as he mentioned “grocery eating”. Second, why would he actually risk his livelihood over stripper booty in the first place. All of this matters not, though. Obviously, his poor judgment is going to make him look bad.

Then again, this type of stuff shouldn’t be a big deal. Yes, Dr. Umar Johnson is a man of “high regard” due to his Pan-Afrikanism ideologies. However, he is a single man. But that isn’t the bigger issue:

Umar Johnson, also known as the “Prince of Pan-Afrikanism” as he calls himself, is an unmarried, conscious brother with two kids, who does a lot for the black community.

Conscious Stripper says that Dr. Johnson is a lying “p*ssy-hound” after he apparently went on the Roland Martin show in the beginning of June and said that he was celibate. [2]

NOW we get into the meat of the problem. A lot of it has to do with WHO he is screwing (in relation to his ideologies). Another problem is the fact that he seems to be living a double life. This is the product of men not realizing that there will always be that one thing to defeat them: pussy.

Where Dr. Umar Johnson Messed Up

With much more deeper thought on the subject, it can be easily said that Dr. Umar Johnson made the mistake of thinking he could outduel the pussy. You see, any man in his position should have been smart enough to either not take the celibacy route or make better sexual provisions. Nowadays, exposing important people is at an all-time high while loyalty is questioned in Chris Brown songs about women that should never be loyal in the first place. Still, he didn’t fully understand that even Samson was taken down by Delilah, Kobe Bryantwas worked over by some random booty in Colorado, and Mike Tyson was done in byDesiree Washington. Therefore, it makes no sense to fight against an unconquered, indelible “frenemy”.

All men know pussy reigns supreme. Dr. Umar Johnson, within all of his Pan-Afrikanism, forgot the symbolic escapades of Adam and Eve? That’s a sad sight.

Then again, how can someone be THAT sorry for him when he went for a stripper? I’m not saying anything is wrong with dating strippers. However, it never looks good when a man of such hubris (attained or implied) proves that he is as human as everybody else. With all the great speeches, interviews, and ideological madness that comes from him, it is dumbfounding to realize that he wasn’t smart enough to get taken down by stripper booty. Alas, that is what happened.

Dr. Umar Johnson and the Tainted Hubris

In the end, all men need to understand that they stand no chance against the pussy. You don’t challenge the pussy; you learn how to manage your life around it. Dr. Umar, in all of his intellectually enhanced arrogance, did not understand this. Plus, professing celibacy while delving into the power universal of a stripper with a moral compass didn’t help matters, either. No wonder he missed out on a million dollar donation: he fought a losing battle that he was too arrogant to avoid.

If there is one thing that shakes me to the core is the prevalent rape culture that permeates in America. Let me make it frank: there is a rape culture in our nation. Rape culture is a concept that links rape and sexual violence to the culture of a society, and in which prevalent attitudes and practices normalize, excuse, tolerate, and even condone rape [1]. Looking at that definition, there really is no argument. In short, rape culture is prevalent in America and it is a problem.

Oh, and for the non-believers, I have some examples for you.

Rape Culture As It Exists

There have been plenty of instances in which rape culture has been promoted ad naseum within the “land of the free”. Shannon Ridgway wrote this extensive, and informative, list of rape culture examples that included the following:

• Journalists who substitute the word “sex” for “rape” – as if they’re the same thing.

• Politicians distinguishing “legitimate rape” and stating that rape is “something that God intended to happen,” among other horrendous claims.

• Mothers who blame girls for posting sexy selfies and leading their sons into sin, instead of talking with their sons about their responsibility for their own sexual expression. [2]

There were many other examples (about 22 more), but I will leave that up to the reader to examine. Yet, we should note that 31 states have it where convicted rapists can sue for custody [3]. Therefore, if a person does not believe rape culture exists then they have been living under a rock.

And I am not talking about a pebble. I’m talking about an Easter Island statue sized rock.

Rape Culture in Black America

With all of these statistics ever present in America, it is no wonder that rape culture firmly exists within the throngs of Black America. Is it all of Black America? I hope not. However, there are some keen examples of hit existing in hip hop music. Ironically, the music I love has artists that promote a culture that I readily loathe.

This, in all shapes and forms, is pure bullshit.

When it comes to rape culture, there are some artists that actually promote said foolishness. It is bad enough that Rick Ross made the “molly statement of the year” in 2013 off of Rocko’s “U.O.E.N.O”. Meanwhile, Lil Reese was caught on tape beating up a woman a year or so ago. Added with the madness of the visuals shown in plenty of videos that are, but should not be, watched by young men AND women, and you have issues at hand. America is synonymous with baseball, apple pie, and the objectification of female sexuality; hip hop music can sometimes exacerbate this fact.

The problem with this is that much of this music is listened to/financially supported by women. This has help harness something author Kirsten West Savali has noted:

Violent words — hit, bang, beat, cut, smash – have been re-appropriated to refer to pleasurable, consensual sexual activity. It is not surprising, then, that sixty percent of Black girls have experienced sexual abuse before the age of eighteen. The Beat Bang Theory (double entendre intended) dictates that masculinity be defined by the authority — indeed, the right — to objectify, dehumanize, violate and destroy women, all while rocking a microphone. [4]

Do all rap artists do this? Naw. However, plenty of them do. And the ones that do this seems to be, at times, the most popular artists out right now. And these popular artists fill the clubs,Beats by Dre headphones, and car stereos of not only men but women as well.

Then, there are the thoughts of King Noble, a Youtube troll that advocates the raping of black women as some sort of “revolutionary act against capitalism” (I can’t make this stuff up).

Rape Culture Needs to Be Eradicated

The rap culture that exists in America has made it logical and “acceptable” for the Elliot Rodger of the world to make manifestos of sexual entitlement filled with a lack of maturity and conscience. Even worse, it has infiltrated Black America and made the objectification ofBlack women a common place cultural aspect. If this continues, then there won’t be any turning back. Rape culture has evolved into something too sinister, and illogical, to allow continuance. It has been past time to protect our mothers, sisters, nieces, daughters, and significant others from this societal succubus.

The Economics of Sex Is Affected By Birth Control

Birth control has actually made the sexual situation become a more “common” and “casual” pastime. Before, people in serious relationships had sex (marriage, mainly). Now, there is a split mating market: the sex seekers and the marriage brokers. While more men tend to seek out “having fun”, women are usually seeking “serious inquiries only”. Give thanks to that magical pill that kept people from getting pregnant.

Women Need to Have More Solidarity in the Economics of Sex

Market economists do note that women working together will raise the “market value” of sex. Meaning: many men will do more toward what women desire in order to be with them. Yet, men do not. And this is because women, instead of being united, have become each other’s competition. So, what standard can a man expect when they differ among women?

Let us create a scenario, if you will. A man has a choice between dating Tiffany (the one with more standards) and Tammy (the one with lower standards). If he is a man looking to have fun, then he will get with Tammy. Why? Because Tammy is the easier of the choices. And many men are as faithful/dedicated as their choices.

There is No Mention of the Women’s Liberation Movement on the Economics of Sex

The video notes birth control as having a negative effect on the economics of sex. Yet, they failed to mention the Women’s Liberation Movement coincided with the initial wave of birth control usage [1]. The mention of this movement is important because things drastically changed for women. This marked at time where women fought hard to break strong societal chains [2]. And these chains included choices in sexual expression.

The Economics of Sex has affected the Contemporary Man

Let us just put it out there: many men don’t hold themselves to a high standard on the dating scene. The problem is that they don’t have to. If you are a man that knows you will get women regardless of how successful or slovenly you are, then you are going to be apt to applying yourself only when necessary. This says a lot. Consequently, many men have become lax because they can get away with it.

Just goes to show you that people do certain things because they can.

Women Must Uphold Standards in the Economics of Sex

In the end, women need to make sure they are upholding the standards of how relationships go. The problem with this is that there are more women than men. This gives men the advantage of “choice/viable options”. Yet, men will only do what is allowed. Once women set a standard (as a whole), then there is no choice but to follow suit.

This movie was enlightening and informative. I was enlightened to learn about how the economics of sex would work. This video came to be very informative about the dynamics of sexual relationships. Yet, we cannot be surprised by how things turned out. Thus, this video should give enough information for people looking to make the most of their relationships.

It is all about what a woman wants and needs. After that, the men respond. It is as simple as that.

These are people who are unable to afford health insurance who or qualify for government subsidies under Obamnacare. In these states, residents caught between a rock and a hard place, are expected to rely on the expansion of Medicaid to access health care per the Affordable Care Act.

One such state is Louisiana, and Reuters has an interesting report that details a new development which affects HIV/AIDS patients who have signed up for Obamacare who are now virtually in limbo.

Hundreds of people with HIV/AIDS in Louisiana trying to obtain coverage under President Barack Obama’shealthcare reform are in danger of being thrown out of the insurance plan they selected in a dispute over federal subsidies and the interpretation of federal rules about preventing Obamacare fraud.

 

Some healthcare advocates see discrimination in the move, but Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana says it is not trying to keep people with HIV/AIDS from enrolling in one of its policies under the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare.

 

The state’s largest carrier is rejecting checks from a federal program designed to help these patients pay for AIDS drugs and insurance premiums, and has begun notifying customers that their enrollment in its Obamacare plans will be discontinued.

 

The carrier says it no longer will accept third-party payments, such as those under the 1990 Ryan White Act, which many people with HIV/AIDS use to pay their premiums.

 

“In no event will coverage be provided to any subscribers, as of March 1, 2014, unless the premiums are paid by the subscriber (or a relative) unless otherwise required by law,” Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana spokesman John Maginnis told Reuters.

 

[…]  Hundreds of indigent HIV/AIDS patients are dependent on Ryan White payments for Obamacare because they fall into a gap. They are not eligible for Medicaid, the joint federal-state health insurance program for the poor, because Louisiana did not expand the low-income program, and Obamacare federal subsidies don’t kick in until people are at 100 percent of the federal poverty level.

 

Before Obamacare, the 1990 Ryan White Act offered people with HIV/AIDS federal financial help in paying for AIDS drugs and health insurance premiums, especially in state-run, high-risk pools.

 

Obamacare, which bans insurers from discriminating against people with preexisting conditions, was designed to replace these high-risk pools.

 

Starting on October 1, AIDS advocates and others in Louisiana “were enrolling anyone and everyone we could” through the Obamacare exchange, said Lucy Cordts of the New Orleans NO/AIDS Task Force.

 

Last month, her clients and those of other AIDS groups began to hear from Louisiana Blue that their enrollments were in limbo because the company would not accept the Ryan White checks for premium payments.

 

[…] Healthcare advocates are worried that the refusal to accept Ryan White payments is an effort by insurers to keep AIDS patients from enrolling in their plans and last month began pressing the issue, including with the office of Democratic Senator Mary Landrieu.

 

[…] Asked if it were engaging in efforts to avoid adverse selection by refusing to accept Ryan White payments for would-be customers with HIV/AIDS, Louisiana Blue said it was not trying to keep such customers out of its plans. “We welcome all Louisiana residents who chose Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana,” said Maginnis.

There’s no telling just exacttly how many residents of Louisiana are negatively impacted, by this development. However, here’s a look at some figures on HIV/AIDS in Luoisiana as put together by the folks over at LPHI. One glance and you can see how serious this could be for many.

• As of December 31, 2010, a cumulative total of 30,876 HIV/AIDS cases have been reported in Louisiana, including 316 pediatric cases.
• The cumulative number of deaths among persons diagnosed with HIV/AIDS, reported to the Louisiana Office of Public Health through December 31, 2010, is 12,755 including 103 deaths among pediatric cases.
• A total of 18,308 persons are living with HIV/AIDS in Louisiana; of these individuals, 10,035 persons (55%) have an AIDS diagnosis.
• Among women living with HIV/AIDS, the predominant known mode of transmission is high-risk heterosexual contact followed by injection drug use. Among men living with HIV/AIDS, the predominant mode of transmission is men who have sex with men followed by high-risk heterosexual contact.
• Nationally, Louisiana ranked 4th highest in AIDS case rates and 11th in the number of AIDS cases diagnosed in 2008, according to the CDC 2008 HIV/AIDS Surveillance Report (Vol. 20).
• The Baton Rouge metropolitan area ranked 2nd for AIDS case rates among the largest metropolitan areas in the U.S. in 2008; New Orleans metropolitan area ranked 3rd.
• In Louisiana, 33% of new HIV cases and 31% of new AIDS cases are among women.
• HIV continues to disproportionately affect African Americans in Louisiana. In 2009, 76% of newly diagnosed HIV cases and 76% of newly diagnosed AIDS cases were among African Americans.

The more time that goes by the less it seems we know about our own history, and what many of us went through to even get us to today.

Lately the internet has been abuzz with the discussions and debates around black women empowerment and often these dialogues veer off into how one can change the name of something and ultimately change the nature of the action behind it. Voila’ just like that. I have seen this line of reasoning employed in conversations about prostitution and the sex trade or sex workers which somehow is an upgrade to the entire industry – just by changing the name – yes, who knew?

A few days ago I ran into a discussion  which posed the question if prostitution was legal would you (as a male) participate and or patronize  or if female would you become a sex worker ?

The responses reminded me of the story of Sara (Saartjie) Baartman. I am willing to bet that many of you reading this right now have no idea who she is or why especially during Black History Month you should know. Here was an  unfortunate story one of the few that were made so public of a black woman being exploited and ultimately winding up in the “sex trade”. How she got there and what happened to her during her short tragic life will probably never make it to your movie screens. People had apoplexy about 12 Years A Slave, this story would never see the light of day. Sara Baartnman’s story, however, speaks  directly to the female empowerment myth and the belief that because you can command a paycheck for activities that are perceived to be immoral and degrading by society, it gives you power. I am wondering how waiting on a paycheck convers that power on the person waiting to be paid? I would think the ultimate power lies with the person who is writing the paychecks but that might be way too logical for most minds to comprehend.

For all that Sara sought to earn money to live and take care of herself she found instead exploitation, misuse and abuse during life, and in death. Her labia, and other genitalia were up until  2012 on display for anyone to gawk at and was originally put on display as proof of the over sexual nature of the black woman. It was only recently that her remains were returned to her South African homeland after enduring years of stares from the depraved, and being on display as proof of the inferiority of blacks.

This is one of the many reasons  why I don’t and will not watch the ratchet, ridiculous, and otherwise stereotypical offerings that many television channels today deem worth watching; and, it matters not how many misguided will watch. It matters not how big the paycheck the participants in so-called reality shows receive, or how many bills they are able to pay as a result.

The bottom line: Exploitation is exploitation. Those checks are not being cut out of the goodness of someone’s heart, they are being cut because someone is profiting off of said exploitation.  Discussing the altruistic uses for the money made – sending kids to college, buying momma a house, etc. still doesn’t change the manner in which the money was generated, and at ultimately whose expense.  If someone breaks into a house and kills the occupants and then robs them and takes the money and donates it to an orphanage does that somehow change the nature of the crime? Is that person somehow deemed honorable because of his deed?

But hey, it’s black history month – hooray! — and more meaningless celebrations and pointless gatherings are just what the black community needs. Less educating about our actual history and what we specifically have gone through because learning is hard. Keeping up with history is hard. Understanding that actions – all actions — have consequences  individually and collectively, requires way too many brain cells to process.

So, go back to twerking, but make sure the check clears though.

And more importantly, I would like to know if he has any plans of sticking to his story in defense of his actions? O course some people are into saving lives and that’s a good thing. But having sex with an unconscious woman so as to save her life? Come on, sir. You’re looking like more like Mr. Rapey McRapist than you do a Good Samaritan with this bullshit story.

A 50-year-old St. George man is in trouble after he allegedly found a female neighbor unconscious on her front porch and allegedly claimed he had sex with her to try to warm her.

Rodger William Kelly told police he inserted his penis inside the unconscious 29-year-old on May 19 because “he was trying to save her life,” according to court documents.

“He said he did place it inside of her to try and get her temperature up,” police wrote in a probable cause statement filed in 5th District Court.

Looks like 50-year-old Rodger William Kelly took that State Farm “Like a good neighbor” jingle too seriously.

Police told Kelly that his actions amounted to rape. He was charged Monday with one count of first-degree felony rape.

Kelly told officers that he found the woman passed out in front of her apartment and brought her inside his apartment, changed her clothes and put her on his bed. He said he then lay down next to her and hugged her to try to get her temperature up because she had been outside, then attempted intercourse to warm her.

When police arrived, responding to an unconscious person call, they said they found Kelly inside his apartment giving the woman CPR.

The woman later told police she thought she might have been raped and recalled being dressed in a pair of the man’s underwear and shorts. She told police she had bruising on her pelvic and upper thighs, according to court documents.

The hospital was unable to complete a rape kit because the woman’s vaginal area was cleaned while she was sedated, according to court documents.

Kelly told police that the two previously were intimate, but admitted the woman had told him before the incident that she didn’t want to have sex with him again.

Okay, so I don’t know much about Utah. Heck, for all I know it is probably fifty degrees below zero out there at this time of the year. Even so, I sincerely doubt that the insertion of a penis into a frozen and unconscious woman’s vagina is the suggested or prescribed fix for hypothermia.

I’m not a doctor, nor do I play one on television; but, of all the methods of resuscitation I doubt whether this one exists. Of course the medical books that I have read over the years are old. So, maybe this is something new that even the cops in Utah are not quite educated on just yet.

That said, I wonder what would he have done if his neighbor was a man instead of a woman. Would he have been quick on his feet as he was with his female neighbor and insert his penis into his you know what? Now do you see why I would love to have a conversation with this man?

Yet, the usual voices who advocate for the victims of rape within the black blogosphere, are eerily silent. Which if you read one of our recent posts, this might be a good thing considering the motives of some within the black blogosphere. Even so, we can’t complain about a lack of coverage and attention to “our” daughters when we ignore the daughters of “certain people” when they fight for justice — to do so is hypocritical.

So who is Kaitlyn Hunt?

She’s a teenager facing felony charges for having sexual relations with another female four years her junior. Yes, she is a lesbian; and yes, as you can see in the picture above, Kaitlyn Hunt is white. But should any of that matter when it comes to her case? I’ll let you answer that question after reading the following story below, which details her case. Still, I question the silence of some, and I wonder whether Kaitlyn Hunt’s sexuality — the fact that she’s a lesbian — has anything to do with said silence. Could it be the fact that the accused in this case doesn’t have a penis, make her less of a “child predator,” or “rapist,” as Gina McCauley described Genarlow Wilson in one of her many assaults?

A Florida high school senior was expelled from school and is facing felony charges for a sexual relationship she allegedly had with a fellow girls’ basketball teammate who is three years younger.

Kaitlyn Hunt, a cheerleader and basketball player at Sebastian River High School, is facing two counts of felony lewd and lascivious conduct on a child ages 12 to 14 for her alleged relationship with a freshman classmate.

She has denied the charges, which were filed earlier this year in Indian River County.

The girls were 18 and 14 when they became sexually involved, according to an arrest affidavit by the county Sheriff’s Department. The girls basketball coach at the high school found out about the relationship, told the younger girl’s mother, who also works as a coach, and kicked Hunt off the team, according to Hunt’s family.

The younger girl’s parents then contacted police, according to the Hunt family.

The police set up a phone sting operation in which the 14-year-old called Hunt and asked her details about their relationship, according to the affidavit. Police then arrested Hunt in February, based on the details the girls discussed on the phone, according to the document. She was charged and spent 24 hours in jail before posting bond.

[…] Hunt’s family says the 14-year-old student’s parents are angry that their daughter was in a same-sex relationship, and decided to go to police, according to Andrew Gay, Hunt’s uncle and the family spokesman.

“Our understanding form the other family is the reason they initially pursued this case is because they’re unhappy with their daughter being a same sex relationship,” he said. “It would appear to be the case if Kate were a male this wouldn’t be happening.”

The freshman’s parents also twice asked a judge to provide a court order banning Hunt from attending Sebastian River, but the petition was denied, Gay said. The school board then expelled Hunt from the school, and she has been attending an alternative high school, he added.

The Indian River School District declined to comment on the case except to say that it followed the district’s student code of conduct in dealing with the situation.

The case has sparked outrage in the Indian River community and online, where petitions and a “Free Kate” Facebook page have gained more than 20,000 followers, which has fueled the recent interest.

“Our family’s perspective on this is that Kaitlyn made a poor choice, but this is something that could have been dealt with between families,” Gay said. “But they refused to talk. They’ve been very aggressive. I understand feeling like you need to protect your child, but I don’t understand ruining another child’s life.”

He said the 14-year-old has told police she was in the relationship voluntarily, but the girl’s parents are pursuing the action. The younger student’s identity has not been released by police or the Hunt family.

Gay said the family understands that the significant age difference between the girls led to the legal problems, but said it points to a wider, national problem of seniors in high school facing jail time for becoming involved with freshmen.

“Just because you turn eighteen doesn’t mean you’re the wisest person on earth,” he said. “This happens all the time with males. It’s a national tragedy that seniors in high school are going to jail for dating freshmen. If they shouldn’t be intermingling with one another, then they shouldn’t be in the same school.”

Hunt has pleaded not guilty to the charges, but has been offered a plea deal by the prosecutor’s office that she must decide whether to accept by Friday, according to Gay.

The prosecutor’s office offered Hunt the chance to avoid jail time if she pleads guilty to felony child abuse, he said.

“She’s hanging in there, but it’s been rough,” Gay said. “She’s spent three years doing medical training in high school and had plans to start college and a nursing program.

“A felony convict can’t become a nurse, so that would ruin her plan for her entire life.”

Now I’ll be honest, I have a 14-year-old-niece who will be a high school freshman this fall. And I’d be lying if I said that it would anger me if she were to have a sexual relationship with a high school senior. Forget the sexual relationship; hell, I would be pissed if I ever found out that she was even dating a senior. And since I’m being honest, I might as well let it be known that the sex of the senior in question wouldn’t matter. Yes, I would be equally as upset whether the relationship was heterosexual or not. Why? Because at her age I think dating someone four years her senior is inappropriate That said, if I were the parent of a 14-year-old girl, I doubt I would be calling the cops like the parents in the story above.

I can’t say whether they did what they did because they refused to accept that their daughter may be a lesbian as is alleged. But nonetheless, given that the law is the law, they do have every right to pursue charges against Kaitlyn Hunt in spite of what some may think about them. But the real issue here — as it was in the Genarlow Wilson case — is whether the punishment fits the crime. Like the Genarlow Wilson case, I think it’s outrageous to prosecute and charge Kaitlyn Hunt with a felony, and having her imprisoned for life with the label of being a sex offender. But hey, that;s just me and my thoughts on the situation. I would love to hear where you stand on this one, so don’t be afraid to share in the comment section below. At the end of the day, a “Romeo and Juliet” provision should be used to make Kaitlyn Hunt’s crime no more than a misdemeanor, in my opinion.

I could think of a lot of things to do on a honeymoon vacation in Florida; and having a lot of sex would be one of them. However, I don’t think said sex would involve a prostitute. That’s unless your newlywed wife is in fact a prostitute; then I guess it would be acceptable, and expected. But, soliciting a prostitute while your wife is back at the hotel? Yes, that would be a definite no. But don’t tell that to 21-year-old, Mohammed Ahmed, who was recently arrested for doing just that, and here’s the police report. Oh, and as hypocrisy would have it. also caught up in the same bust that netted 92 arrests, was a youth minister in town for a church convention who arranged to have sex with a 14-year-old.

A man looking for a prostitute during his honeymoon and a youth minister expecting to have sex with a 14-year-old girl were among 92 people arrested in a Polk County Sheriff’s Office undercover prostitution investigation.

The four-day undercover investigation targeted prostitution websites on which men and women advertising prostitution or soliciting prostitution, the sheriff’s office said.

Mohammed Ahmed, originally from Illinois, was on his honeymoon when he answered to an ad from an undercover detective posing as a prostitute, authorities said.

When the 21-year-old did not return to the hotel, his wife reported him missing, the sheriff’s office said. His wife was later notified that he had been charged with prostitution and possession of marijuana.

Samuel Yoon, a youth minister at the Holy Cows youth ministry, New Community Mission Church in San Leandro, Calif., was in Orlando for a youth conference when he responded to an ad posted by an undercover detective offering women for sale, authorities said.

Yoon, 45, was expecting to meet a 14-year-old girl, the sheriff’s office said. He now faces including traveling to meet a minor and using a two-way communication device to commit a felony.

The really jacked up thing about this, is that it wasn’t just a random act. No, he wasn’t out and about on the prowl looking for some spur of the moment booty. Instead, Ahmed pre-aranged the episode with what he thought was a prostitute, online. So yeah, not only did he go to Florida for his honeymoon. He also made arrangements to exchange money for sex with what turned out to be an undercover police officer.

As for the pedophile? Yeah, I got nothing.

Fleeting snippets of  news sound bites declaring the horrors faced by the three women allegedly forcibly kidnapped and forced to live with their captors for 10 + years have been over all the networks and especially the  national news aka cable news outfits.

In all that I have heard and read – I have yet to hear or see mention of the BDSM aspects of the situation that continue to come out on a consistent basis.  It is somewhat amusing to hear the horrific conditions described that include obvious BDSM elements but nothing being said about that. Allowing the public via main stream media to shape the discourse on this always winds up rather badly. It is especially interesting in light of the popularity of the whole “50 Shades of Gray” phenomenon that has taken off.

Police negligence aside, reports of women being “forced to crawl around naked in the back yard with leashes and collars on” and descriptions of chains and other restricting devices being found on the premises where the women were found speak all kinds of volumes. Apparently, no one has the balls enough to speak on it though.  One of the conundrums of those who engage in BDSM or “lifestyle” related activities is because of the “stigma” usually associated with those engaging in such activities; many people will not publicly acknowledge those activities or their involvement. This is the true tragedy of situations like this because things like this happen not only because no one acted – namely the police department. They also happen because secrets are kept and people don’t speak.

Clear point to make this situation is neither the fault of nor indicative of those who wish to engage in Ds/Ms or related activities. As with most things you are always going to have someone who takes things too far or who is on some other agenda altogether but uses something and twists it unrecognizably for their own purposes.

The faux prudes who tsk tsk and say this is the fault of those people are the same people who think Gays and Lesbians are evil abominations etc. and so on. Meanwhile, many of those same “moral activists” who condemn anything outside of their definition of normalcy are hanging out at the dungeons and clubs decked out in latex.

To the 50 Shades of Grey people, this stuff like anything else is not all fun and games and personal responsibility as always is of tantamount importance. Understanding what you are getting involved in as well as WHO you are getting involved with still is important and probably even more so in today’s society.  There are predators out there that are seeking and their involvement in the lifestyle is more of a sidebar. Take note this is not a lifestyle “thing” this is “I am a sick predator who likes teens” thing.

One thing is for sure, living in the closet and keeping secrets never usually winds up leading to anything good. Being who you are and living the way you choose is the real freedom. I am so sure there are a “few” people out here who can relate to That analogy….

But ya’ll aint hearin’ me though…..
