I went to Jesse Sr.’s 1988 Chicago presidential campaign hdqrts to show my support to him before the primaries. It was quiet at the daytime. A worker came up to, we made introductions. She was polite. Jesse Jr. was nearby and she introduced him to me. Jr. refused to shake my hand. He asked, ” Why are you here? You are not welcome. Leave now.” He turned away, and in a lower voice, he said, “F—-n cracker”. My heart was sad. Of course, I left quietly. Now years later, the news of Jr.’s current situation, I believe he has sabotaged his potential and talent, due to selfishness and immaturity. Please Jr., roll up your shirt sleeves, be humble, look at what your community needs most now and relentlessly fight for EVERYONE!! Show a character of a servant. You have a great platform and a voice loud enough to bring dignity to the community. Even to a F—–n cracker.
