If the Judge doesn’t use sound judgement in his motivation report they can kick it back to a different appeals court.It happens occasionally. Unlikely Amanda will be extraditated  back to Italy, but some changes will be made. Her boyfriend was also implicated in the murder, but lives in Italy.

This young woman’s nightmare could have happened to anyone – and if that “anyone” were black, she/he’d be totally forgotten. Not an ounce of the attention paid to Knox would have been spent on them. And Kercher has been completely ignored in the U.S. media – but in the U.K. they’re all over that, apparently. Lots of articles on how she’s been forgotten. It is a truly ridiculous circus, all over another white girl with no attention paid to the people of color in the rest of the story. But her alleged harrassment by police makes me err on the side of the benefit of the doubt for her.

She also recanted her accusation of Lumumba the next day. She shouldn’t have accused him at all, but her excuse is that she was being harrassed by police in a language she wasn’t at all fluent in. I don’t understand why this is different when it happens to Knox rather than the Central Park Five.

The man whose DNA was found all over the crime scene, Rudy Guede, was originally sentenced to 30 years, but had his sentence lessened to 16 years through an appeal.

I’m sure her siblings are gonna need therapy, four years their parents have swept them and their lives under the rug all for Amanda.  Geesh.

Surely that statement will resonate amongst many and rightfully so. I agree with it. I also agree that the real injustice here will be endured by Meredith Kercher’s family in that they have lost a love one through some vile shennanigans and it seems no one is being held accountable. The focus right now is on Ms.Knox’s release. Who’s to “release” the Kerchers? That’s an injustice of the worst kind. Haunting and unfulfilled days to come in their lives I’m sure.

I must point out however that yesterday when the verdict was read she was found guilty on one count. Criminally misleading investigaters by implicating her boss as a suspect. She was sentenced to 3 years for that crime. They grandfathered her time served. So she was “called to the table” for that. I just wanted to point that out. Otherwise, I agree with you. I feel she did have something to do with that night. I feel terrible that the victim was basically forgotten. And as a Seattle resident I am not looking forward to the days/weeks ahead with the media frenzy. Thanks.
